Beginner Dotara	The dotara is one of the most important instruments used in various genres of folk music in Bengal and Assam. It has two main forms, the Bangla and the bhawaiya (Assamese form). The Bangla form originated in the Rahr Bangla region, where it is still predominantly played. It has metal strings, which give it a brighter tone than other instruments played in the area. Khamak Gubgubi Gabguba Folk Melody | Bengali Folk Instrument	The khomok is a tension drum of the Baul folk musicians of Bengal, also known as a khamak, anandalahari and gubgubi. It has a skin head pierced by a string, which passes through the wooden drum-shaped body to attach to a small brass handle. Khamak Gubgubi Gabguba Folk Melody | Bengali Folk Instrument	The khomok is a tension drum of the Baul folk musicians of Bengal, also known as a khamak, anandalahari and gubgubi. It has a skin head pierced by a string, which passes through the wooden drum-shaped body to attach to a small brass handle. The khomok is played by placing the drum body under the arm and plucking the string while pulling on the brass handle, which applies tension to the string and drum head. Variations of tension on the string produce a surprising vocal-like sound. Some khomok have two strings that are played at the same time increasing both the volume and complexity of the sound. In Bengal, the chord is played while it passes through the drum shell; This is known as the khamak or khomok. The kanjira's emergence in South Indian Carnatic music, as well as the development of the modern form of the instrument. The kanjira is a relatively difficult Indian drum to play, especially in South Indian Carnatic music, for reasons including the complexity of the percussion patterns used in Indian music. It is normally played with the palm and fingers of the right hand, while the left hand supports the drum. The fingertips of the left hand can be used to bend the pitch by applying pressure near the outer rim.
